Best Things To Sell Online – More Ideas
ByNow I know yesterday I mentioned I was going to delve into some digital products and I am, but I want to post more ideas about best things to sell online as it seems to be popular with readers.
For most part, I’ve had many jobs in my life time, and I’ve just about pushed ever product in the world. I always have ideas about buying and selling products to make extra cash for me.
I may not be Bill Gates, but I do ok just by being a "middleman" for most people that have a problem. That is the key here. Being a "fixer of problems" and you’ll always find what are the best things to sell online as well as offline.
Anyways, we briefly talked about storage auctions yesterday and I want to stay somewhat on that same track. This can be done with either storage auctions, garage sales or what have you. In a time where economic hardship is effecting many, there are always opportunities to find good deals.
Now, I know I mentioned this to a buddy of mine, he stated that I am taking advantage of those that are in despair. I totally disagree with that, but to each their own. I know myself, that I have been greatly effected in this economic downturn, and if someone solves my problems, I could care less whether the guy/gal makes a buck if he/she solves my problem.
Anyways, I usually going around town on Sundays and looksy at the garage and sidewalk sales that are around during that day. If you look in the weekend edition of your local papers, they are usually advertised. Some sales are because the owner may be going through a foreclosure process and they need to get rid of their junk before they move.
Most of the time, you can get things relatively inexpensive but you need to look for things that won’t have a hard time to sell, and obviously that would be attractive for others to buy.
You can look at places like Amazon.com™, Shopping.com™ or Ebay.com. Find what sells and pay attention to the prices. Look at the items new, and look at the items if they are used and compare the two. This will at least give you an idea what one of these items would be worth should you stumble upon the items when you’re treasure hunting at garage sales.
Amazon also gives helpful reviews to products so you can also find how the product is (good, bad) based on its reviews. Again, this will keep you informed as to how well the product will last, what are it’s best features and what are the features that are downright lousy.
You can also look for items inside your local newspapers. Make sure to check the lessor known papers as sometimes people place ads in those papers to rid themselves of their stuff, but do not want to pay alot in advertising.
Another great place to look for where I’ve found some really good deals is miliary newspapers. Of course you need to live in a military town, but these people are always on the move and need to sometimes let go of very good products that they can’t or don’t want to bring along with them.
Assuming that you have found a desireable product that you bought relatively inexpensively and which has a perceived high value for, turn around and sell it online.
But not just anywhere, sell them at places like Craigslist.org™, Backpages.com™ or other free online classified ad sites. I have found that more people look for products on Craigslist than they do in their newspapers and I’ve made money simply by buying and selling using an online classified ad site.
What you can do before you actually go out and find something to sell, is find out what is popular or selling well on these classified online sites first.
If you can find that product when you are out searching for "hidden treasures" at storage auctions, garage sales or even your local newspapers you can simply turn around and resell it on Craigslist.
This technique is so simple it’s ridiculous and I don’t know why others don’t do it themselves! Try, you may even surprise yourself with an extra couple of hundred bucks!
